Secretary and Adviser to the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) since 1995 and independent adviser, dealing with agricultural property and policy matters.
Among a wide variety of issues, has been heavily involved with the negotiation and delivery of tenancy reform in 1995, CAP reform in 1992, 2000 and 2003 to date and taxation.
Has spoken and written widely.
Read PPE at Lincoln College, Oxford (1976-79).
Policy Advisory and Policy Director to the TFA 1986-95.
Partner in TACS Talk delivering the autumn countryside taxation conferences since 2000.
CAAV representative to The European Group of Valuers' Associations (TEGoVA) Assembly, member of the European Valuation Standards Board.
A member of Tenancy Reform Industry Group. Hon D. Litt., Harper Adams University College (2008).
He currently sits on the RELM Board
