College Governance
The Royal Agricultural College is a limited company and a registered charity. The directors and trustees are all non-executive. There are between twelve and eighteen independent governors who are appointed to serve for up to three terms of three years on the Governing Council. The Governing Council can also appoint up to five co-opted governors who provide special skills to Council or work on particular projects.
Beneath the Governing Council are a range of sub-committees that report to it and are chaired by governors. Some examples are:
- The Audit Committee
- The Planning & Resources Committee
- The Nominations Committee
- The Remunerations Committee
- The Estates Committee
- The Farms Board.
The College is run on a day to day basis by an executive senior management group chaired by the Principal, Professor Chris Gaskell.
