Susan McCraith

Susan McCraith is a Master of Wine and founder of Ethical Fine Wines, the first wine company to bring together wines that are socially and environmentally responsible. After a French degree at Exeter University and a year's postgraduate business studies, she moved to France to work for Lillet Freres in Bordeaux and then Jas Hennessy in Cognac.

She moved back to England in 1990 to work for a Bristol wine merchant, Howells of Bristol, where she gained the Vintners' Scholarship, the Master of Wine and became a Board Director. In 1996 she moved to become a Senior Buyer at Waitrose, where she stayed for ten years before deciding to leave to set up her own company. Susan is also one of the few female liverymen in the City of London's Vintners' Company.
