About Rural Land & Property Management

Our ‘Partnership’ with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has its roots in the accreditation of courses at the RAC since the 1930s, and we are proud of the substantial contribution made to the development of the global surveying profession by our Alumni and staff. Our degrees also offer a route to qualification as an agricultural valuer with the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Land and property are areas of increasing public interest, as pressure on land use grows and these are the two focal points in the School of Real Estate and Land Management (RELM). Our courses consider the theories, methodologies and practice of rural and urban property management.

The aim is to prepare you for stimulating and rewarding careers, filling a growing need for intelligent and competent young professionals.

The School has a long history and enviable reputation as a supplier of education and training for the future leaders of the land and property professions.

Whether your interest is in a career managing traditional rural estates, buying and selling country houses, residential agency in towns, managing commercial property portfolios and investment funds or providing valuation and technical advice, one of our degree courses will provide you with a firm foundation.

RICS APC Courses

Our training courses are designed to be small (with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 18 delegates) interactive workshop sessions which will help to update and develop your professional skills and knowledge. Participation is strongly encouraged. Each course is open to all, but most are specifically aimed at those working through their APC.
