Our Expertise
The Royal Agricultural College has remained at the forefront of agricultural and land based education since our establishment in 1845. Members of academic staff are acknowledged experts in their particular subjects and most are involved in consultancy, research, and training activities, in addition to their academic responsibilities.
International Rural Development
The International Rural Development MSc is designed to develop the necessary professional understanding, skills and attitudes required to deliver sustainable development in the rural sector. This is achieved through knowledge acquisition, intellectual enquiry, debate, research, and interaction with fellow students from around the world. The course meets the needs of recent graduates, those already working in the area of rural development and those seeking a career change. Along with six core modules, you can tailor the degree by choosing from a number of specialist pathways to coincide with your research topic. Detailed knowledge of such specialist areas has proved invaluable to our graduates, who have secured positions with national and international Non-Governmental Organisations, as well as the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
