The College Gym is well-equipped with the latest training facilities, friendly staff and is affordable. We can offer an inspiring range of fitness programmes and well-being services.

We offer small, friendly classes, for people of all fitness levels. Our diverse timetable is constantly being updated and includes:

Tailor-made Training
Whether you have been exercising for years or are new to the concept of fitness training, we are confident that we can help you obtain the results you want. After an induction, each member of the gym is given a personalised plan which is updated on a regular basis, to reflect your improved fitness levels and to keep your sessions inspiring and challenging. Our friendly instructors are on hand to provide advice to help you maximise your overall fitness and wellbeing.

Our brand new, state-of-the-art, spray tanning system is perfect for maintaining a sun-kissed appearance throughout the year or for creating a natural looking tan before a special event.
Prepare for a Special Event
We all want to feel and look good for certain occasions in our lives. We can design a package specifically to help you prepare for an important event, from a holiday to a wedding. Our Bridal Boot Camps, for instance, are perfect for the bride, bridesmaids and any other members of the party, either on an individual or group basis. One of our instructors will devise your programme and work with you at regular training sessions to ensure you are looking fabulous for the big day! In addition, brides-to-be who book a Boot Camp package are entitled to reserve the beautiful College chapel and historic dining rooms at a discounted rate (subject to availability). Advanced Exercise Facilities
Along with a range of cardio and resistance trainers, weights and free weights, the RAC Gym also features some of the latest pieces of equipment. We have just installed a Power Plate; an ingenious fitness device which delivers the equivalent of an hours work out in just a fraction of the time. We also have a number of the new X-bikes, which are currently being used by world champions, athletes and celebrities. In addition to the benefits of a full cardiovascular workout this innovative system tunes your reactions and balance while burning up to 500 calories per half hour session.
Heavy Duty Training/High Intensity Training
High intensity, low duration workouts are perfect for sports teams and anyone wishing to increase their overall strength, endurance, and co-ordination and decrease body fat. Our popular heavy duty training programmes often take place in the grounds of the Royal Agricultural College and can be tailored to meet your individual or team requirements.

Working one-to-one with our Personal Trainers is a proven way to get the results you desire, whether you want to lose weight, improve your fitness or help a medical condition. The first consultation is free and will establish your needs and goals. David Long
Gym Manager and Personal Trainer
David has eight years experience as a personal trainer. After graduating with Honours from his Bachelor of Education Degree in Physical Education and Science, David successfully completed a Masters Diploma in Fitness Training and Sports Therapy. He has represented Great Britain in Judo and won a Gold Medal at the European Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships in 2005. He is an active triathlon, biathlon, cross-country running and fitness competitor.
Mark Long
Personal Trainer
Having worked within the fitness industry for seven years, including for several nationwide health-club chains, Mark has gained invaluable experience with a vast range of clients from all backgrounds. A fully qualified Personal Trainer and Sports Nutritionist, Mark also holds a Masters Diploma in Fitness Training and Sports Therapy and worked with premiership rugby side Bristol, as a Sports Therapist and Masseuse.
