Academic Support
Higher Education can be a big leap from ‘A’ levels. As well as attending lectures, seminars and tutorials, you will also need to be self-motivated during your own private study time. But don’t worry, as long as you’re committed there is plenty of support on offer to help you on the path to success.
Personal Tutors
You will be allocated a member of academic staff who will be your personal tutor for the whole time you're at College. After your first meeting at the start of term you should aim to see your tutor regularly for advice, support or just to talk through any concerns you have.
Study Skills Sessions
These cover topics such as revision and exam techniques, note-taking, avoiding plagiarism, structuring essays and presentation skills.
Intranet
Timetables, lecture notes, former exam papers are just some of the resources on the intranet. You can access the College system in the IT suites, via personal laptops at College or anywhere in the world with your username and password. You can also access the library website, including e-journals and an online library catalogue.
Overseas Students
As an international student, you are involved in a fantastic and often life changing experience. However, moving away from home and to a completely new country can mean some big adjustments. We understand that students may need extra support, either academically and/or personally.
International Student Support Officers
The International Student Support Officers are able to offer academic and personal support. They are located on campus and are available during the week.

International Society
Students from all backgrounds join the International Society; an inclusive society for all students. It’s a great way to meet new people and really get involved and enjoy your life at the College. The society runs social activities and celebrates events from the international calendar.
