RAC rewards academic excellence
RSS
The Royal Agricultural College (RAC) believes that university should be an option for everyone with the academic ability and has a range of scholarships and financial support, designed to attract and reward the brightest students, regardless of background.
The College has recently introduced an Academic Excellence Scholarship for 2012 entry. All new RAC undergraduate students who achieve at least AAB grades at A-Level (or equivalent) will be eligible to receive this scholarship. Each scholarship will be worth £2,000 over two years (with £1,000 payable in the first year of study as an accommodation waiver and a further £1,000 payable in the second year as a cash bursary).
Any student who selects the Royal Agricultural College as their firm choice with UCAS and achieves at least AAB at A-Level or equivalent (excluding A-Level General Studies) will automatically be awarded a scholarship.
Means-tested support is also available to provide additional financial aid for students from lower income backgrounds. The National Scholarship Programme provides a fee waiver of a minimum of £3,000 per year to students who are resident in England, have a household income of £25,000 or less and who have achieved at least AAB at A-level (or equivalent).
The RAC also offers means-tested support to students with household incomes of less than £42,600 pa. However, only one Royal Agricultural College managed scholarship can be held at any one time.
