RAC Graduates Buck Unemployment TrendThe Royal Agricultural College is not only ranked top within its sector, but is also within the top eight of the UK’s 156 universities and colleges for graduate employability, according to new statistics.

Figures released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) reveal that 96.6% of RAC graduates in 2010 were in employment or further study within six months of graduating.

The figures, which are based on the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Survey, show that graduates from the RAC are among the most employable in the UK, securing quality jobs despite high unemployment rates across the country.

Professor Paul Davies, Vice Principal, said, “It’s increasingly important, in the current climate, that students have a good opportunity to gain employment. In this respect, the RAC has been amongst the top UK universities and colleges for some years. My colleagues at the RAC work hard to ensure our graduates have the relevant skills and knowledge to succeed in the workplace, and I’m very pleased the RAC has been recognised this year as the top UK university college for graduate employment in the land-based industries and professions.”
