Taster Course

28th and 29th June 2011

This two-day residential short course is aimed mainly at 16-19 year olds but it may also be of interest to other students. It gives an insight to the many varied and interesting career options that exist in the food and land-based industries, both in the UK and worldwide. It also provides an opportunity to learn more about the courses that we have on offer at the RAC.

The programme combines lectures and outside visits. The speakers are College lecturers, former students now working in land-based industries and outside professional people holding responsible positions in the industry. See link below for more information on the programme.

Parents are invited to stay for the 'Welcome to College' on the first day, and to attend the careers session and tea on Wednesday.

Members of staff will be available for questions and course enquiries on the Wednesday afternoon.

Clothing should be casual and warm. A waterproof jacket and outdoor footwear are recommended for the visits.

Lifts to Kemble railway station or the coach station will be available after tea on Wednesday.
